According to Rogers Mushrooms, this fungi smells of mice!!!

Clear white sporeprints on the grass.


Grammopodia refers to the lines in the stem which are like
the grooves in a grammophone record.

Waldegerling Scaly Wood Mushroom, grows in parks and gardens. 

Can look like the smaller Blushing Wood Mushroom (Agaricus silvaticus), 
but these grow in the forest. Silvaticus= forest in latin.

Dette er en stor blod sjampinjong. Disse vokser i parker og hager 
mens blodsjampinjonger vokser vanligvis i skogen, dypt nede i barmatten eller maurtuer.
I tillegg har stor blodsjampinjong rødning øverst på stilken.

The Sickener. Light pink flesh is revealed when top layer of the cap is peeled off. Peppery taste.

Russula integra.  Dark brown cap. Gills taste like blanched almond flakes and are connected by short ribs. 


Cap often covered with organic debris. Top layer of cap can be peeled back more than 50%. Often hidden by moss.

Piptoporus betulinus Grows on birch. Cushion-like. Can be used as knife holder or as pin cushion.

Lactarius glyciosmus. Coconut milkcap.

Inedible
Lactarius glyciosmus Milky latex, as with other milkcaps. Distinct smell of coconut, or face cream, as my mushrooming companion proclaimed.

Cortinarius venetus or C. subtortus?


Both C. venetus and C. subtortus are inedible.
Cortinarius venetus According to Oliver Smith, coloring your white socks with this mushroom will leave them white but glowing in the dark.

 Supposedly edible after boiling and throwing away the liquid.


They turned blue green!
Question is: do I still want to eat them?

Edible. Lined at margin. Free gills. Thin, fragile stem. No ring. Based encased in “bag” (volva).

Grisettes come in various colors.

Cortinarius stillatitus
Poisonous. Very slimy all over the whole mushroom. Previously, I found it hard to smell the distinctive fragrance of honey. However, today, I was taught to scrape the base of the stem with my knife and then to smell the same spot. Honey, without a doubt!

Purple milk

Lactarius repraesentaneus (Northern Bearded Milkcap, Fiolett svovelriske)
Bearded, white milk turning dark purple almost immediately.
Edible if blanched before sauteing but I resisted the temptation.
It smelled weird.
Lactarius flavidus or Lactarius uvidus (Grå fiolettriske)?
L. flavidus stains “livid lilac”. Slightly sticky cap. Hollow stem in aging mushroom. Inedible. Rare.
L. uvidus stains “dull lilac”. Poisonous/suspect. More common.

All the above mushrooms were found in the Rondane National Park, Norway
