More chicken than sulphur
In a State Park in the US - where it is illegal to forage-
We found
Laetiporus sulphureus
or
Chicken of the Woods
.
Edible when young and fresh.
Tastes more like chicken than sulphur.
However,
not normally eaten in Norway

Bracket fungi at Bogstad Manor
Bogstad Manor
,
outside Oslo (Norway) has lovely grounds which are open to the public.
Sheep graze quietly, completely unaware of the huge bracket fungi nesting in the trees.
