Tempeh: Malaysian style

I wrote earlier about tempeh in this blog.
Here is a Malaysian recipe for those of you wondering how to cook it.

 Ingredients:
tempeh (cut into cubes), shallots and chillies (sliced), lime (squeezed),
taucu (fermented soy beans)

Heat oil in wok. Fry tempeh cubes. Set aside.

Heat oil in wok. Fry shallots and chilli. Add taucu and some brown sugar.

A jar of taucu

Mix the fried tempeh with the rest of the other ingredients.
Add lime juice.
The result: hot, sweet, salty and sour tempeh.
